DICE LA Announces More Free DLC For Battlefield 4, Dragon Valley Returns In “Legacy Operations”

EA isn’t done with Battlefield 4 just yet. After two major updates to the game in recent months, including Community Operations and Night Operations, Developer DICE LA is getting ready to deliver yet another later this year.

Legacy Operations, as its called, will launch alongside Battlefield 4’s Holiday Update, bringing the fan-favorite Battlefield 2 map, Dragon Valley, to 2015 in modern fashion with the help of the Frostbite 3 engine. Like we’ve seen inprevious footage, the new Dragon Valley map will suite large-scale, vehicle warfare with a large number of capture points and destructible/repairable bridges. We also recently learned that the layout of its Team Deathmatch variant will mimic the popular Battlefield 3 map, Noshahr Canals.

Because of its scale, DICE LA says the new map will only be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. An exact release date hasn’t been announced just yet. For now, check out some new footage and screens below and tell us what you think in the comments!

Battlefield 4’s Community Operations Cinematic Trailer Might Be The Game’s Best Yet

Probably the coolest Battlefield 4 gameplay trailer you’ll ever see, right here. The Two Scotsman have done it again with another cinematic masterpiece dedicated to the upcoming community-made map, Operation Outbreak.

Drawing inspiration from some of DICE’s previous Vietnam-set Battlefield games, Operation Outbreak’s latest gameplay trailer sets the action to the familiar music of Richard Wagner amidst a dense jungle backdrop. If you’ve been keeping up with the happenings within the Battlefield community, you’ve likely seen the work of The Two Scotsmen before, including this epic Star Wars Battlefront teaser .

Earlier this month, developer DICE LA officially announced that the new map, born from the CTE’s Community Operations Project, will arrive as a free download for all Battlefield 4 players this Fall. Having gone through months of iteration, nearly every aspect of the map, from conceptualization to finalization, was built from player feedback. As it turns out, it appears that it might end up being one of Battlefield 4’s best looking maps too.

Rainbow Six Siege’s ‘Fall Gameplay Trailer’ Has New Locations And Plenty Of Action

Ubisoft dropped a new gameplay trailer in the hands of Rainbow Six Siege fans earlier today, showcasing a few new locations and some explosive gameplay.

The trailer pans through maps located in France, Germany, and the U.S. as Operators gear up for game modes like Hostage Rescue, Breach and Clear, and Bomb Defusal. There ain’t a whole lot more to it, but it’s actually a pretty cool trailer with some nicely shot action sequences. Have a look above.

Rainbow Six Siege launches on the 1st of December with 11 maps in total, all of which can be played in either a day or night setting. In addition, Ubisoft announced that it will deliver even more downloadable maps throughout the game’s lifecycle for free.
