DICE Details All Four Battlefield 4 Naval Strike Maps, New Images

With the Naval Strike ocean combat-themed expansion, developer DICE aims “to expand on what players loved with the naval warfare from Battlefield 4.”

The studio recently took a moment to formally introduce all four of the new maps launching with Naval Strike; Lost Islands, Nansha Strike, Wave Breaker, and Operation Mortar.

“It’s our hope you’ll enjoy the new maps immensely, whether you’re trying out the new Carrier Assault mode or piloting the new Hovercraft,” says DICE.

Xbox Live Services Limited, “Not a Titanfall Issue,” says Microsoft

Xbox Live us currently experiencing technical issues as multiple users are reporting difficulties signing in and getting online.

The issue certainly rears its ugly head at unfortunate time, during the launch day of Respawn Entertainment’s debut shooter, Titanfall. But Xbox Live’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb assures users that the troubles are not related to the game and that Microsoft is actively working on a fix.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won’t release until February 2015

Speaking in an open letter on the official CD Projekt Red website, the firm said it has “re-examined: what it has created so far, which ultimately made the team decide on a choice about the game’s final release date.

“The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious,” said the firm. “We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us.

“Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015.”

Titanfall launch review

Editor’s note: Starting with Titanfall, we have decided to delay the full review of online-only games until we have been able to play them extensively on fully populated public servers, where the experience may be different to the controlled conditions available before a game is released.

In the meantime, when possible we will publish a “launch review” that reflects our experience playing under pre-release conditions – in this case at a review event in London, which was our only opportunity to sample Titanfall before its North American release date.

Battlefield 4 Naval Strike – New Assignment Rewards Discovered, “Phantom Trainee” Spotted

Along with a number of new assignments, it appears Battlefield 4′s Naval Strike expansion will also offer up a handful of brand new rewards and dog tags.

Our friends over at Symthic have discovered a few of these items by data mining the latest Battlefield 4 files, including an award for the mysterious Phantom Trainee assignment, presumably a continuation of the “Phantom Prospect” assignment.

Battlefield 4 – New Battlelog and Server Updates Available, Notes

The Battlelog is getting a new update today that fixes a few bugs, adds a few new features, and introduces support for Battlefield 4′s upcoming multiplayer expansion, Naval Strike, as well as the new ranks.

There are also a few updates to the recently introduced Platoons. Similarly, a new server update addresses missing audio in Squad/Team Deathmatch when playing on high ticket Ranked Servers, and introduces a fix for vehicleSpawnDelay and roundTimeLimit being part of presets locked settings. Check out the full update notes below:
