Battlefield 4‘s ocean combat-themed Naval Strike expansion is beginning to roll out on the Xbox One for Battlefield 4 Premium subscribers.

It was announced yesterday that the the add-on would be delayed to early April due to “issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations”. However, it looks like the studio was able to get things sorted out a bit earlier and are now deploying the latest update to Xbox One users.

Still, we await an exact ETA for PC users. Hang tight for updates.

Xbox One reputation system outlined, notifications coming soon

Microsoft announced last summer it was changing how the reputation system works on Xbox One, and today, the company has outlined how the Xbox Live system will be based upon behavior in the community. On Xbox One, categories of player reputation score are “Green = Good Player,” “Yellow = Needs Work” and “Red = Avoid Me.” Microsoft said the majority of its players fall into the Green category.

“By looking at someone’s Gamercard you’re able to quickly see their reputation,” said Micheal Dunn, program manager on Xbox Live. “The more hours you play fairly online without being reported as abusive by other players, the better your reputation will be.

“The algorithm looks to identify players that are repeatedly disruptive across the community on Xbox Live. The vast majority of players do not regularly receive feedback from other players and, thus, will stay at the “Good Player” reputation level.

Here’s what the reputation levels mean for you:

Xbox Live service alert – Forza 5, store downloads and purchases affected

Published on March 25, 2014 by in Xbox Live

Ladies, gentlemen, I bring good news and bad news. The good news is that this morning’s Xbox Live service alert is no more – you should be able to access and play Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer and GTA Online just fine.

The bad news is that there’s a new Xbox Live service alert in its place, which warns of difficulties with Marketplace purchases across Xbox 360 and Xbox One and with Forza Motorsport 5 in general. Ack, these service alerts. Like velociraptors, they know how to divide and conquer.

Users may have trouble paying for items using store currency, adding new currency to their wallets, viewing account balances and downloading items they’ve already bought. “Thanks for hanging in there while we resolve this issue,” reads a postscript, added at 15:31 GMT today. “Feel free to check back in half an hour for an update.”

Forza Motorsport 5 players, meanwhile, may struggle to access cloud data, capture game videos, jump into multiplayer or post/view game performance. There’s an end in sight on this front, at least. “If you are having trouble using certain game features in Forza 5, this is due to a scheduled maintenance taking place right now. Thanks for being patient. We’ll let you know as soon as this work is complete.”
